Breathe your way to serenity!
What a tense day. It’s days like these I like to pay attention to how I breathe. With a million thoughts running through my mind about yesterday, today, and tomorrow, it is no wonder I get so worked up and stressed out. We all do. I know I have a tendency to breath very shallow, which makes my anxiety go kiddywampus and mood be hyper-active. I always try to make time for breathing. I know it sounds silly because it is something we naturally do, but when you make the conscious effort to sit down, breathe in for counts of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; then let it out 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, you feel so much better and more equipped to take on the world, in the now, not focusing on the future or the past but this moment. It never fails to ground me even if it takes a few or several breathes instead of just one.. So deep breathe away… Oh and if you’re around a crowd, grab a tic-tac! Breathe deeply and find your Zen.
